Giving back to our members and the communities we serve is an important aspect of our culture at Western Sun. We believe that “People Helping People” is more than just a credit union philosophy. It’s a commitment made at every level of our organization. So, how do we give back?

Children’s Miracle Network

Western Sun is a proud supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network®, a nonprofit organization which helps cover the cost of medical care for 10 million children every year! We raise money year-round by selling candy bars in our branches and donating 100% of the proceeds to CMN.

Donation Drives

Throughout the year, Western Sun employees and members come together to raise funds and awareness for different causes in our community! Past drives have included:

• Collecting toys for Toys-For-Tots
• Collecting blankets for newly admitted patients at The Children’s Hospital
• Sno Cone fundraiser for Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program
• Coat and blanket drive for local charities

Community Events

You may see Western Sun at a variety of community events throughout the year, including Race for the Cure, the Owasso Gathering on Main, Okmulgee Chili Fest, Collinsville Trunk-Or-Treat, Car Shows, and Christmas parades! Since we live in the communities we serve, we take pride in being involved in our communities and meeting our neighbors.
